BID-Funded First Aid at Work courses

Whilst we have our own online training platform, a particular course, First Aid, cannot be delivered online as this is very much an in-person training course.
Clacksfirst BID will fund two Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) courses which will mean up to 20 people from 20 different businesses in the BID will receive the certified training course.
EFAW is a 1-day training course that is designed to provide first aiders with the knowledge and skills they need to respond effectively to emergency situations in the workplace. It is designed for staff who work in a low hazard workplace. It meets the Health and Safety Executives requirements for first aid in the workplace
The course covers:

  • Roles and responsibilities of first aider
  • Incident/casualty management
  • Legal framework
  • Unconscious casualties
  • CPR
  • Correct use of a Defib
  • Epileptic seizures
  • Shock
  • Choking
  • Burns
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Bandaging & dressings/slings

The course is FAIB accredited and meets HSE requirements. It would be a full day course at Alloa Business Centre, 9.30am-4.30pm. Lunch is included.
We aim to deliver the courses in February 2025 and invite you to express an interest as soon as possible as this will let us know numbers prior to booking the trainers. To express an interest contact kevin@clacksfirst.co.uk
