BID Online Training Academy

Upskill with BID Online Training Academy

During the pandemic, various funding streams were made available by Scottish Government that were specific to Business Improvement Districts.

Clacksfirst BID had several successful funding applications which enabled the BID to provide PPE for the community, promote Clackmannanshire as a business destination and safe distance signage.

One of the Government funds was the BID Resilience Fund, aimed at getting businesses back to some level of normalcy, for this application, we had to think of a project that every BID member could benefit from and, when we considered that every sector, one way or another, needs to spend money and time, on training, that’s when it was decided to create an online training academy.

The online training academy has a diverse range of courses to match the range of business types we have in Clacksfirst BID.

Courses include Fire Safety, GDPR: An Introduction, Level 2 Food Safety in Catering, Safeguarding Children, Manual Handling, COSHH Awareness and many more CPD accredited courses all free to access.

Courses can also be completed at your own pace which means employees will not need to leave their workplace or spend hours away from their core duties.

The BID funds the courses and any business or organisation in the BID area has access to the accredited courses.
