The unpaid workforce at our partner agency, Clackmannanshire Criminal Justice Services (CJS), returned to work following a period of lockdown. That meant that we could resume our free wood recycling service.
The service recommenced mid-May and, as expected after such a long suspension, extremely high volumes were presented and took the team a full two working weeks to complete.
We are extremely grateful to CJS for providing this work-in-kind and we realise, were it not for BID’s collective existence our members would incur the cost and time to dispose of the materials themselves. Alloa Community Enterprises (ACE) contacted us to say “Kevin, That’s the wood all uplifted. Thank you very much it is really helpful and the guys were great”.
Please register interest in this service by contacting kevin@clacksfirst.co.uk and we will notify you when the next collection will take place.
