Change to our recycling service that will reduce the use of plastic bags

Our recycling contractor, Binn Group, has agreed changes to the recycling uplift. To reduce the amount of plastic bags being used, they are now offering a mixed collection service for your recyclable materials. This allows you to recycle the following items in the same bag:

  • Paper and card
  • Metal tins, cans and foil including foil trays
  • Plastic bottles
  1. Please ensure that all larger cardboard boxes are flattened.
  2. Please do not mix food waste and non-recyclables with recyclables.
  3. Only use clear bags, email kevin@clacksfirst.co.uk for bags
  4. Only recycle clean paper and cardboard.
  5. Always rinse out metal and plastic containers

The recycling service will continue to operate on Wednesday as normal.
